Stop Motion Video (2026)

I AM ONLY A BODY is a stop-motion animated short film that reimagines the haunted house genre by exploring a house not as a setting for horror, but as the living creature itself. Rather than containing a ghost or intruder, the house becomes an active presence — a body that changes, reacts, and transforms through the actions and experiences of those within it.
The work explores why the home, a space traditionally associated with safety and comfort, is so often used as a site of fear and unease. By imagining the house as a living being, the film questions the relationship between place, identity, and survival.
Through horror and absurdity, the piece examines ideas of invasion, transformation, and perspective. The work questions who is the intruder, who is the threat, and how we decide what makes something a “monster.” If a house is a monster, is it truly monstrous, or is it simply trying to exist and protect itself?
